Incumbent in this position will provide direct primary health care services service via ambulatory clinic / long term care facility, telehealth, or home visit. Will examine and treat chronic and acute episodic illnesses, minor injuries, accidents, and other injuries/illnesses. Perform selected laboratory testing and interpret results.
Offer referrals to physicians, write prescriptions, and perform office procedures within the scope of expertise and protocols. Incumbent will also work with the physicians in the care and treatment of patients and staff. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Masters’ degree from an accredited nursing program.
- Possess current, full and unrestricted Registered Nurse and Family Nurse Practitioner license to practice medicine in the State of Alaska.
- Current DEA, CPR, and ACLS certification required.
- Must be able to meet and maintain current KICTHC credentialing and privileging requirements.
- Possess current valid State of Alaska driver’s license with a record acceptable to KIC’s Insurance carrier.
