Under direct, indirect, and general supervision provides oral hygiene health care services consistent with the highest recognized standards of clinical hygiene and the hygiene profession. This includes but not necessarily limited to periodontal case management and treatment of the diseased periodontium, application and utilization of oral health care medications, and provision of preventative oral health care services.
Requirements:
- Graduate of a dental hygiene program fully accredited by the “Commission on Accreditation” of the American Dental Association conferring either a ‘Certificate in Dental Hygiene,’ or an ‘Associates, or Bachelors’ Degree in Dental Hygiene.
- Hold an unrestricted license to practice hygiene in the State of Alaska.
